‘Bio-Based’ Tires Developed by Linglong லிங்லாங் உருவாக்கிய ‘உயிர் அடிப்படையிலான’ டயர்கள்

Shandong Linglong Tyre Co., Ltd., the Chinese tire giant, introduced its revolutionary new range of bio-based rubber tires during the 22nd China International Industry Fair (CIIF), held in Shanghai from 15 to 19 September, 2020. The tires have been jointly developed in collaboration with Beijing Chemical Industry University over the past three years, using a range of bio-based rubber products, Linglong announced in a Chinese-language statement on 21 Sept. As part of the key bio-rubber R&D project – entitled "preparation technology and application demonstration of new bio-based rubber materials" – Linglong said it had produced dandelion rubber snow tires, a radial truck tire based on eucommia rubber and itaconate biosynthesis steel-belted rubber tires. Eucommia ulmoides (EU) gum is a natural polymer material extracted from Eucommia ulmoides (EU) oliver, a species of small tree native to China. The polymer can be used in the tire industry to reduce the rolling resistance of a tread compound and to save energy. According to Linglong, "the solar-source development of a new generation of bio-based rubber" was part of its strategy to address the unsustainable production of synthetic rubber and natural rubber as well as the shortage of resources. The tires have completed third-party evaluation, meet the project index requirements and display “performance superior to traditional rubber.” சீன டயர் நிறுவனமான ஷான்டோங் லிங்லாங் டயர் கோ, லிமிடெட், 2020 செப்டம்பர் 15 முதல் 19 வரை ஷாங்காயில் நடைபெற்ற 22 வது சீனா சர்வதேச தொழில்துறை கண்காட்சியின் (சிஐஐஎஃப்) போது அதன் புரட்சிகர புதிய அளவிலான உயிர் அடிப்படையிலான ரப்பர் டயர்களை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது. கடந்த மூன்று ஆண்டுகளில் பெய்ஜிங் கெமிக்கல் இன்டஸ்ட்ரி பல்கலைக்கழகத்துடன் இணைந்து டயர்கள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன, பல வகையான உயிர் அடிப்படையிலான ரப்பர் தயாரிப்புகளைப் பயன்படுத்தி, லிங்லாங் செப்டம்பர் 21 அன்று சீன மொழி அறிக்கையில் அறிவித்தார். முக்கிய பயோ-ரப்பர் ஆர் அன்ட் டி திட்டத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக - "புதிய உயிர் அடிப்படையிலான ரப்பர் பொருட்களின் தயாரிப்பு தொழில்நுட்பம் மற்றும் பயன்பாட்டு ஆர்ப்பாட்டம்" என்ற தலைப்பில் - டேன்டேலியன் ரப்பர் பனி டயர்களை உற்பத்தி செய்துள்ளதாக லிங்லாங் கூறினார், யூகோமியா ரப்பர் மற்றும் ஐகோனேட் பயோசிந்தெசிஸ் ஸ்டீல் அடிப்படையிலான ரேடியல் டிரக் டயர் பெல்ட் ரப்பர் டயர்கள். யூகோமியா உல்மாய்ட்ஸ் (ஈயூ) கம் என்பது சீனாவை பூர்வீகமாகக் கொண்ட சிறிய மரத்தின் ஒரு வகை யூகோமியா உல்மாய்ட்ஸ் (ஈயூ) ஆலிவரிலிருந்து பிரித்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு இயற்கை பாலிமர் பொருள் ஆகும். டயர் துறையில் பாலிமரைப் பயன்படுத்தலாம், ஒரு ஜாக்கிரதையான கலவையின் உருட்டல் எதிர்ப்பைக் குறைக்கவும், ஆற்றலைச் சேமிக்கவும். லிங்லாங்கின் கூற்றுப்படி, "ஒரு புதிய தலைமுறை உயிர் அடிப்படையிலான ரப்பரின் சூரிய மூல வளர்ச்சி" என்பது செயற்கை ரப்பர் மற்றும் இயற்கை ரப்பரின் நீடித்த உற்பத்தி மற்றும் வளங்களின் பற்றாக்குறையை நிவர்த்தி செய்வதற்கான அதன் மூலோபாயத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாகும். டயர்கள் மூன்றாம் தரப்பு மதிப்பீட்டை நிறைவு செய்துள்ளன, திட்ட குறியீட்டு தேவைகளை பூர்த்திசெய்து “பாரம்பரிய ரப்பரை விட சிறந்த செயல்திறனை” காண்பிக்கின்றன.
